To address these issues, the new AM5 Harmonic Mount (2024 edition) eliminates the need for counterweights, offers high load capacity (15kg without counterweights, 20kg with a 5kg counterweight), and balances portability with stability. The ZWO's customized strain wave geared reducer ensures precision with an accuracy within ±10". It can be used as both an equatorial and alt-azimuth mount, with an altitude adjustment range of 0–90 degrees.
