Unlike the pale white image from Mylar film, it provides a nature yellow-orange solar image. The filter will never develop pin holes or scratches that can let in light and ruin a filter. Will not tear or puncture. It also has a flat surface compared to other thin film filters that have wrinkles and creases. The machined aluminum fixture makes the filter very sturdy yet light weight.
This filter fits most 70mm to 90mm telescope tubes, as well as some camera lenses. It has an inner diameter from 84mm to 106mm and clear aperture of 70mm.
